Adaptation, variation, and survival are essential topics in elementary science that lay a critical foundation for later understanding of complex topics in biological evolution. The roots of this start in elementary school. Gain a deeper understanding of the concepts, discover misconceptions that impede learning, and see how to bring these topics alive in the elementary classroom. A variety of hands-on activities and resources will be shared along with the science content needed to more confidently teach these topics.
